Nova Vas is a small village located next to the border between Slovenia and Italy, better known for its excellent goat cheese. Tourists can visit a guard tower in the vicinity of the village, two preserved karst ponds and a communal well, considered part of the architectural heritage, as well as the World War I memorial and the renovated church of St. Sylvester (sv. Silvester).
